El jugador no podrá jugar el encuentro ante el Espanyol
El comité de Apelación de la Real Federación Española de Fútbol ha desestimado el recurso formulado por el F.C. Barcelona, por lo que confirma la suspensión por un partido a Ronaldinho. El jugador, se perderá el penúltimo encuentro de Liga. Su equipo, segundo en la tabla, se enfrenta al Espanyol.
Aunque aún le queda una opción al club catalán para que el brasileño juegue. El Barça puede pedir la suspensión cautelar de la sanción ante el Comité de Disciplina Deportiva. De esto modo, Ronaldinho podría jugar el próximo partido de Liga ante el Espanyol, aunque no la última jornada del campeonato, en la que el equipo de Frank Rijkaard se enfrentará al Gimnàstic de Tarragona. El club considera que la acción de Ronaldinho sólo es merecedora de tarjeta roja, sin posterior sanción, pues hubo provocación previa del jugador del Getafe, David Belenguer, con sus reiteradas faltas al delantero azulgrana.
El Comité también ha desestimado el recurso presentado por el Real Betis Balompié, confirmando los acuerdos del Comité de Competición, en cuya virtud impone sanciones de suspensión por un partido al jugador Jesús Capitán Prada y al entrenador Luis Fernández, al este último por doble amonestación y consiguiente expulsión, con las multas accesorias correspondientes.
