Eto'o gets medical clearance

Samuel Eto'o was given the medical all-clear this morning and will therefore be available for selection by Frank Rijkaard for the last four games of 2007.On August 28 during Barça’s 5-0 win in the Gamper Trophy match with Inter Milan, Samuel Eto'o partially tore tendons in his right leg. It has taken him three months to get fit again, but now he is ready and waiting to form part of Frank Rijkaard’s first team plans. The much missed Cameroonian striker will therefore be available for the last four games before the winter break, against Deportivo, then Stuttgart, Valencia and finally the big match just two days before Christmas Day itself, at home to league leaders Real Madrid. Training this afternoon Samuel Eto'o will be training normally with the first team today for the first time since being declared fully fit. Barça have their first training session of the week at 17.30 as they begin preparations for Saturday’s visit of struggling Galician outfit Deportivo La Coruña. (21:00).
