Monday training
The senior football squad – in particular the players involved in Sunday’s win against Mallorca - had a relatively light training session at the La Masía training grounds next to the Camp Nou on Monday morning.

There were plenty of smiling faces around La Masía this morning as players and coaches reflected on an important set of results that have once again boosted the Club to a four-point lead at the top of the table.

It was a relatively light session, especially for the players that took part in the 1-0 win against Mallorca who, after some warm-down exercises and jogging, returned to the dressing rooms ahead of the rest of the squad.

The remaining players carried on with the usual exercises before taking part in a four-a-side match on a reduced pitch. Ronaldinho, Motta and Belletti Ronaldinho, Motta and Belletti were all absent from the La Masía training session.

The first two are still following their individualised recovery programmes while Belletti underwent a number of further medical tests to determine the extent of the injury picked up in the closing minutes of the match against Mallorca.

Applause for Zambrotta

Barça’s Italian international defender was the focus of attention for a group of Italian fans at training this morning. Zambrotta was treated to much applause and chanting of his name.
