Eto'o returns to squad after four months

Eto'o returns to squad after four months

The big news in the squad to travel to Pamplona is the return of Samuel Eto'o. The Cameroonian striker is ready to play again after a four-month absence, but Brazilian Ronaldinho is out through injury.

Eto'o returned to training this week, and has been announced in the squad to take on Osasuna on Sunday. This is his first call-up since picking up a serious knee injury in the Champions League match with Werder Bremen on November 27.

The Medical Services said this morning that "after evaluations by ourselves and the coaching staff, and having observed the development of his knee in specific and group training, we have decided to give the medical all-clear to Samuel Eto'o".
The other player returning is Rafa Márquez, who missed the last league game against Celta through suspension.

Ronaldinho out
The downside to events, however, is that Ronaldinho will not be going to Pamplona. He is having trouble with his right knee since the cup game with Zaragoza, and has not recovered in time. Therefore, the decision was made to leave him out of the travelling party.

The full squad
